Goodbye to the Best 2 Years of My Life - December, 2017

Hello Everyone,

    As I have come to the End of the mission, I am blessed to be a part of the #Light The World  Campaign and share the Light of Jesus Christ with other people here in India. I am grateful to feel how the Light The World campaign has Deeply enlightened me and have brought a joy in my Life and in the life of the people I met.

  I was unable to share my returning  flight time to Nepal due to some conflict in flight's.

But now it is confirmed that I will be returning to Nepal on 19th Dec ( Coming Tuesday) 12:30 PM.

 I am excited to return home with family and friends and look to forward to meeting most of you on Saturday at church.

I have met a lot of great people here in India. I have worked diligently.  It will be hard to say good-bye. 

My last zone conference with President Fred M. Mortensen and Sister Shauna Mortensen.

Mission companions have become my friends.

We are brothers in the Gospel.

The Light the World campaign banner is in front of the church.

But back to Nepal I will go.  I will be happy to see my family & friends again and serve the branch in my country.

Post Script:

It has been an honor to keep this book of Elder Shrestha's mission.  He is one of the sincerest and kindest and most faithful men we know.  Elder Shrestha has a way of making people feel accepted and loved.  We are sure this was a special gift from his Heavenly Father to him so that he could use it to share the gospel with others.  It is time now for him to return to Nepal and continue serving the Lord in whatever capacity is needed.  We pray that he will stay true to principles that he taught diligently in the India Bangalore mission.  We truly love the man he has become along with his entire family.  We plan to continue keeping in touch with him as we watch how he continues to influence the world for good.  Best of luck always.

Book of Mormon Videos - November 27, 2017

Hello Everyone,

 It has been a wonderful experience past few weeks.

Let me tell you some things,

 We missionaries here in Bangalore got a chance to participate in Book of Mormon Videos feedback program.

So for you information we will soon have Book of Mormon videos like of Bible.

The team came to show us some of the clips of the video which contained the 1st to 12th chapter of Book of Mormon, and took our feedback.

Now I am in a Tri-Compaionship with two other Elder's here in KGF.

My previous companion was Elder Sampath from Eroad, Elder Danied is also with us.so It's Three-sum now.

Elder Nepali is here in India Bangalore Mission.

He is in Hyderabad, westmaradpalli 3rd ward. I spoke with him once, He is doing okay.

Sister Shrestha is in Rajahmundry. The place where I started my mission.

Another Baptism in the Branch - November 6, 2017

  The following pictures are of Sister Radha Being Baptized by her Brother Senthil who was baptised just a month ago.

Brother Senthil is such an example for his sister and knows the plan of our Heavenly father for his family.

Zone Activity at Nandhi Hills - September 11, 2017

Dear All,

How is it going for all of you?

        The picture which you have received is the pictures of our Zone activity two weeks  back where we went to a Place called Nandhi Hills, which is like One and Half hour drive from Bangalore.  As you can see in the pictures it was really foggy morning because of which We were not able to see anything from the hill or take good pictures. But it was a fun and refreshing activity.

           This week as we worked with one of our Investigators who previously had a permission issue from his dad for Baptism, he is coming to church regularly, He attended the church this Sunday as well and he called us in afternoon and said that his father is positive about the Baptism now- It seems.  So we will work to prepare him for Baptism soon as his father will give clear permission for his baptism.

An Apostle Visits Nepal - August 21, 2017

Dear Friends from Nepal and Others,

     How wonder news was that for me to hear that Elder D. Todd Christofferson visited our lovely branch Nepal.

I am personally overwhelmed by this news that Even An Apostle of the Lord came and met personally with the members of Nepal.

It shows that the Lord is mindful of the people in whatever land they may be.

It reminded of my time when I first met the Apostle of the Lord  Three months back , It was Elder Quentin L. Cook. It was a historic visit to us and we all felt the strong presence of the spirit . I can still remember the blessings which he gave us and I will also exhort you all to remember the Promised blessing which Elder Christofferson bestowed upon ever one of you and ponder about it.

A Spiritual Fireside in Kolar Gold Fields - August 14, 2017

Hello, My Dear Brothers and Sisters,

How are you all?

We are having a pleasant weather here in KGF this week. It is raining here some days of weeks.

Last week we conducted missionary fireside and our Fireside's theme was 'Called to Serve'. The preparation for this fireside was from us missionaries and our BML (branch mission leader). We went to each member’s (Active, Less-Active home, Part members) home and invited them for Fireside.  As a result of our preparation, the fire side was a huge success. Our Branch president was very happy with the fireside. We showed the video of Called to Serve" and led a small discussion about the video.  After that in second section, we divided the members into Three groups and directed them to three different rooms where we were had prepared 3 workshops.

Group 1 room -  President and his wife talked about the Eternal families .
Group 2 room -  one return missionary talked about the Restoration
Group 3 room -  My companion and I talked about Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Branch President remarked while returning from the fireside, “Rombo nalarka fireside, Elders” which means Very good fireside.
He said last time fireside they held a fireside there was only games but this time fireside is full of Spiritual things.

So one miracle that happen in the fireside was one young man walked into fireside. Before this time, he said, he had come to the church 5 years ago and had not returned until coming to this fireside.   I asked him who invited him and his surprising response was - No one invited him and he came by himself.

He has a limited English and we visited his family and met his mother and sister who don't speak English. So, we are now slowly teaching their family. His family is Poor but very humble. He even came to church last week. But he missed church this week.
We were also able to celebrate the marriage anniversary of one couple member who are Differently able people (they both cannot speak and hear) by having them cut a cake for their anniversary.
